Apparel brand Virgio partnered with the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend & Awards 2025 as its Sustainable Fashion Partner, aligning with the event’s long-standing commitment to environmental awareness. The 25th-anniversary edition was set in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and placed sustainability at the forefront, reinforcing the role of eco-conscious fashion in the entertainment industry.

The collaboration focused on the IIFA Green Carpet, an initiative advocating for environmental preservation since 2007, Virgio announced in a press release. As part of the partnership, Virgio aimed to integrate sustainability into the Bollywood celebration, demonstrating that responsible fashion is shaping the industry’s future.
“This is an incredibly proud moment for us to collaborate with IIFA, a platform that truly values purpose,” said Virgio’s co-founder and CEO Amar Nagaram in a press release. “As a start-up, we are thrilled to be recognised for our commitment to sustainability. Alongside IIFA, we aim to amplify our mission and celebrate India’s artisans on a global stage.”
Virgio’s presence extended across key moments of the event, which saw Bollywood celebrities such as Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, and Kareena Kapoor, along with South Indian and OTT celebrities, engaging in discussions on sustainability’s role in fashion. The brand also spotlighted Jaipur’s traditional block print artisans, bringing their craftsmanship to an international platform.
“For 25 years, IIFA has been more than just a celebration of Indian cinema- it has been a global movement advocating for meaningful change,” said IIFA’s co-founder Andre Timmins. “With Virgio, we are redefining fashion and glamour with purpose.”
Virgio retails eco-responsible clothing and accessories for men and women from its direct to customer e-commerce store. The brand has raised $37.8 million over two funding rounds thus far, according to business information platform Tracxn.
