Jaipur-based luxury jewellery label Raniwala 1881 has partnered with Francorp, the business advisory arm of Franchise India Group, to expand its retail footprint through a structured franchise model.

The collaboration marks a strategic step in the brand’s efforts to scale operations while preserving its 140-year-old legacy of heritage craftsmanship, the business announced in a press release. The brand’s new partnership with Francorp will introduce two franchise formats: franchise-owned, franchise-operated and franchise-owned, company-operated, aimed at offering investors and jewellery enthusiasts access to India’s growing premium jewellery segment.
“Our jewellery is more than just adornment; it is a representation of centuries-old craftsmanship and a deep-rooted heritage,” said Raniwala 1881’s managing director Abhishek Raniwala in a press release. “With the growing demand for handcrafted Polki and Jadau jewellery, this partnership with Francorp allows us to expand while preserving our brand’s exclusivity. Our primary focus remains on serving the bridal jewellery market across India, particularly with Polkis embedded in 18-karat gold, catering to the tastes of Gen Z and Millennials. Through our structured franchise model, we aim to offer customers an unparalleled luxury experience while creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs in the premium jewellery space”.
Raniwala 1881’s expansion aligns with the post-pandemic recovery of the Indian jewellery market, positioning the label to reach a wider audience through franchise-led retail while continuing to focus on craftsmanship. The partnership is also designed to support the brand’s expansion into metro cities and high-potential luxury markets. Known for blending traditional artistry with contemporary design, Raniwala 1881 has previously collaborated with designers including Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Manish Malhotra, and Rahul Mishra.
“Luxury retail market is evolving rapidly, and heritage brands like Raniwala 1881 are leading the way in strategic expansion while maintaining timeless elegance and exclusivity,” said Franchise India Group’s chairman Gaurav Marya. “Franchising provides an effective model to scale without compromising brand integrity, and with FOFO and FOCO models, we are introducing a new retail experience in the luxury jewellery sector.”
