D’Décor reports 20% profit increase in FY24


Home textiles and interiors label D’Décor recorded a 20.5% rise in net profit for the 2024 financial year, despite only a modest increase in revenue. The performance comes amid continued growth in India’s home décor segment, driven by changing lifestyle preferences and rising disposable incomes.

As per consolidated financials filed with the Registrar of Companies, D’Décor’s revenue from operations rose 4.2% year-on-year to Rs 816 crore in the 2024 financial year, up from Rs 783 crore a year prior, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. The company earned an additional Rs 37 crore from non-operating income, taking its total income to Rs 853 crore.

The brand, which sells curtains, upholstery, bed linen and bath products, operates across domestic and international markets, exporting to over 65 countries and retailing in India through both offline and online channels. The full-year revenue was derived from sales of fabrics and made-ups.

Raw material procurement remained the company’s largest cost component at Rs 308 crore, forming 39.2% of total expenditure in the 2024 fiscal year. Advertising spend increased sharply by 173% to Rs 41 crore, while overall expenditure rose by 4% to Rs 785 crore.

D’Décor reported a net profit of Rs 53 crore in the 2024 financial year, compared to Rs 44 crore in the previous year. As of March 2024, D’Décor’s total current assets stood at Rs 547 crore, including Rs 224 crore in trade receivables. Due to current buffeting in export markets, the business expects its future outlook ti remain steady at best.
