(03/07/24) IHG has signed a management agreement with
Geelan Residency for a voco hotel in Srinagar, IHG’s first hotel in Kashmir
and the sixth voco hotel being developed in India.
Scheduled to open in Q4 2026, the voco Srinagar
will be located in the commercial area of the
city, easily accessible by road from the
airport, major leisure attractions and key residential
areas, and approximately a
2-hour drive from Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg.
The voco Srinagar will feature 95
rooms, a number of F&B outlets, flexible meeting and event spaces, a
pool deck and a fitness centre.

IHG currently has 45 hotels operating across five
brands in India, including Six Senses, InterContinental, Crowne
Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn
Express, with a pipeline of 50 hotels due to open in the
next 3-5 years.
